Guaranisaria Distant 1905e: 560 .
Remarks. Distant (1905e) describes the genus as having the characters of Carineta but with short (not longer than the body), semi-opaque fore wings and the nodal line is visible across ulnar cell 3 of the fore wing. Otherwise, the genus is morphologically similar to Carineta .
Type species. Guaranisaria dissimilis Distant 1905e: 560 (Argentina, Paraguay, and Sapucuay, Paraguay).
Included species. Guaranisaria bicolor Torres, 1958 , G. dissimilis Distant, 1905e , and G. llanoi Torres, 1964 .
Distribution. Species of Guaranisaria have been reported from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay (Sanborn 2011b; Sanborn & Heath 2014; Nunes et al. 2023).
