Type locality: China: E. Tibet .
Type material examined. Holotype ♂ MHNG: China, E. Tibet, 2050–2400 m / N of Brahmaputra great bend / 30˚00˚-07˚-94˚22˚-95˚09˚ [sic] / 16–20.VII.1992, L. & R. Businsky leg. // Holotypus ♂ / Cyphochilus / tenzingyatsoi mihi / G. Sabatinelli, 2020 (P, red label).

Diagnosis: Parameres strongly symmetrical, left paramere bears a ventral process arising from the base that wraps around the right paramere and projects dorsally, resembling that of C. gandhii ; however, in this species, the process is distinctly curved in its apical half ( Fig. 27A–C View FIGURES 27–28 ). Right paramere features a thick, slightly curved ridge along its basal margin ( Fig. 27C View FIGURES 27–28 ).
Distribution: China: Xizang ( Sabatinelli 2020a), India: Arunachal Pradesh (present study).
Remarks: The type locality of this species is in China, eastern Xizang ( Tibet), at the Brahmaputra Great Bend. The present study provides the first confirmed record of the species from India.
