Atractides incertus substriatus Lundblad, 1969

Remarks. Lundblad (1969) described A. substriatus based on a single male specimen from the locus typicus of A. incertus . It was published as a ‘forma’ of the nominate taxon after the publication of the new edition of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature in 1961. As compared with A. incertus, Lundblad (1969) , in his original description considered the presence of a lineated (”deutlich liniiert”) integument in A. substriatus as diagnostic feature. There is no reason to support the assignment of this taxon as subspecies of A. incertus . The variability of further specimens needs to be examined to clarify the taxonomy of this species.
