Material examined. 1Ƥ (MNHN-IU- 2010-2874), Vicking, KGSssech-1, Storegga NE, 64°45.281ʹN 05°06.217ʹE, 742 m, 23/05/2006.
Remarks. The only specimen of Paranarthrurella voeringi taken in the present study was caught in the immediate neighbourhood of the type locality ( vide Sars 1887). Existing records indicate that this species has a depth range of 630–1825 m. [The synonymization of the deep-water species P. (= Strongyrula) arctophylax ( Norman & Stebbing, 1886) by Jóżwiak et al. (2009) is not accepted herein.]
