Type species: Mesodineutes amurensis Ponomarenko, 1977

Diagnosis: Within the tribe Dineutini , Mesodineutes can be diagnosed by the following combination of characters: (1) elytral striae present as punctures, (2) elytral apex rounded, without apicolateral sinuation or other modification, (3) metaventrite medially triangular in shape ( Fig. 6E View Figure 6 ) and broad and (4) metacoxal process without border posterolaterally ( Fig. 6E View Figure 6 ).
