- Paraphaenocladius exagitans longipes was one of the most common orthoclads collected, with 113 specimens examined. The subspecies was described from Costa Rica ( type locality, Cacao (a volcano) in Guanacaste Province), St. Vincent and Trinidad ( Saether & Wang 1995) .
