TYPE LOCALITY. — [ USA], Cal[ifornia]; [ Canada], [British Colombia], Gulf of Georgia.

TYPE SPECIMENS. — Undisclosed number of syntypes ( MCZ; one syntype no. 1604).

REMARK

Reported from Mexico by Turrent Díaz (1996: 78) and Ferguson et al. (2000). Lophocampa sobrina ( Stretch, 1872) , described from California, is reported from Mexico by Beutelspacher (1995: 401). It’s probably a misidentification of L. argentata argentata .
