( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1‒4 , 5 View FIGURES 5‒6 )
Type material. Holotype ♂, CHINA, Hainan: Mt. Jianfeng , 940 m, 6.vi.2007, leg. Z.W. Zhang and W.C. Li, gen. slide No. SH21302 .
Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from other known species by the valva obtusely produced and angled at middle on the ventral margin, the phallus curved backward near the base and forming a basal hook, and the distally tulip-shaped part of the phallus without clustered spines and with a triangular process anterolaterally.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1‒4 ). Male wingspan 8.5 mm.
Head. Frons pale yellow; pecten ochreous yellow; frontal tuft pale ochreous yellow. Proboscis yellow. Labial palpus pale yellow. Antenna 0.73 × length of forewing; scape yellow; flagellum pale yellow except ochreous yellow in basal 1/5. Collar straw yellow.
Thorax. Mesonotum and tegula ochreous yellow. Forewing straw yellow, with scattered dark brown scales; fringe straw yellow, with sparse dark brown scales. Hindwing greyish brown; fringe pale yellowish grey. Foreleg yellow ventrally, yellowish brown dorsally; midleg bronzy yellow; hindleg ochreous yellow. Epiphysis yellow, at distal 2/5, almost reaching apex of tibia.
Abdomen. Dark bronzy.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5‒6 ). Uncus with lateral lobes narrowed to rounded apex, excavation between uncus lobes straight. Socii semicircular, with tiny spines. Tegumen narrowed medially, with a deep anterior emargination; lateral arm narrowed anteriorly. Valva slightly widened from base to about middle, thereafter slightly narrowed to rounded apex; costal margin weakly sinuate; ventral margin produced at about middle, forming a distinctly obtuse angle, obliquely straight from middle to ventroapical corner, with dense setae in ventral area. Transtilla ( Fig. 5a View FIGURES 5‒6 ) strongly arcuate; sublateral process 0.15 × length of transtilla. Vinculum ( Fig. 5b View FIGURES 5‒6 ) arced, broadly rounded on anterior margin; ventral plate indistinct. Phallus 1.4 × length of capsule, curved backward near base, forming a distinct basal hook; tulip-shaped part gradually narrowed to obtusely rounded apex, with a triangular process anterolaterally, lacking clustered spines.
