Coptotriche Walsingham, 1890: 322 View in CoL .
Type species: Tischeria complanoides Frey & Boll, 1873: 220 View in CoL (Junior syn. of Tischeria zelleriella Clemens, 1859 View in CoL ).
Emmetia Leraut, 1993: 64 View in CoL . Type species: Tinea marginea Haworth, 1828 View in CoL .
Diagnosis. Coptotriche is characterized by the membranous socii with spinules, the uncus composed of two large subtriangular lateral lobes, the tegumen with a spinous diaphragm, the wide valva, the presence of a transtilla, and a tulip-shaped phallus.
Coptotriche is not distinguishable from other genera in appearance. However, the presence of a transtilla in the male genitalia distinguishes it from other genera in the family Tischeriidae .
