( Figs 4 View FIGURES 1‒4 , 8 View FIGURES 7‒8 , 10 View FIGURES 9‒10 )

Coptotriche minuta Diškus & Stonis View in CoL , in Stonis et al., 2014: 143 View Cited Treatment . TL: Russia (Far East). TD: ZIN.

Material examined. 8♂ 79♀, CHINA, Shanxi: Mt. Jiexiumian , 1370 m, 25‒29.vii.2013, leg. T. T. Liu and P.X. Cong, gen. slide Nos SH 21254 ♀, SH21255 ♀, SH21256 ♂, SH21335 ♀, SH21336 ♀.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to Coptotriche inclinata Puplesis & Diškus, 2003 in the forewing with scattered black scales, the valva narrowed basally and the phallus with the tulip-shaped head produced anterolaterally in the male genitalia. However, it can be distinguished by the excavation between the uncus lobes narrowly rounded at apex, the vinculum obtusely rounded anteriorly, and the phallus with the tulip-shaped head bearing a pair of spines laterally. In C. inclinata , the uncus lobes are pointed at apex, the vinculum is pointed anteriorly, and the tulip-shaped head of the phallus lacks spines ( Puplesis & Diškus 2003: 118, fig. 287).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1‒4 ). Wingspan: Male 8.5‒9.5 mm, female 8.0‒11.0 mm.

Head: Frons glossy pale yellow; pecten light brownish yellow; frontal tuft brown. Proboscis pale yellowish brown. Labial palpus yellow. Antenna 0.53‒0.64 × length of forewing; scape ochreous yellow; flagellum brownish yellow except ochreous yellow in basal 1/3. Collar pale ochreous yellow, with metallic luster.

Thorax: Mesonotum and tegula ochreous yellow. Forewing ground color pale yellow, sometimes with scattered black scales on costal margin; gradually with denser black scales from middle to apex; fringe greyish brown. Hindwing silvery grey; fringe greyish yellow. Fore- and midlegs light brown densely with dark brown scales; hindleg light yellow. Epiphysis pale brown, at distal 1/3 of tibia, not reaching apex of tibia.

Abdomen: Ochreous yellow.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7‒8 ). Uncus lobes narrowly rounded at apex, excavation between uncus lobes almost straight. Valva narrowed in basal 2/5, broadly round at apex; almost straight on costal margin, slightly convex before middle on ventral margin. Transtilla ( Fig. 8a View FIGURES 7‒8 ) relatively broad, sublateral process indistinct. Vinculum ( Fig. 8b View FIGURES 7‒8 ) V-shaped, obtusely rounded anteriorly; ventral plate extremely reduced. Phallus 0.86 × length of capsule, broadly rounded apically; tulip-shaped head with triangular process anterolaterally and two rows of spines laterally.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9‒10 ). Main ovipositor lobes fan-shaped; second pair of ovipositor lobes subovoid. Inner prela extremely broad, pointed anteriorly, fused with each other posteriorly; median prela short, arc-shaped; transverse prela sinuate. Caudal plate of prela wide, slightly concave anteromedially, straight posteriorly. Lateral lobes absent. Ductus bursae 1.4 × length of corpus bursae, with minute spines. Corpus bursae elongate ovoid.

Host plants. Carpinus cordata Blume , C. japonica Blume , C. laxiflora , C. tschonoskii , Corylus sieboldiana and Ostrya japonica ( Betulaceae ) ( Kobayashi et al. 2016).

Distribution. China ( Shanxi), Japan, Russia (Far East), South Korea.

Remarks. This species is recorded for the first time in China.
