Nesiotus olibroides Guillebeau, 1896
Nesiotus olibroïdes [sic] Guillebeau 1896: 298–299.
Diagnosis. This species may be distinguished from other members of the genus by the moderately elongated antennomere XI in the male, the size of the eye in frontal view (separated by about 1.5 times width of one eye), the elytral interval microsetae in two rows, the penis abruptly widened at about mid-length and with a narrowly rounded apex, the fused parameres of the tegmen long-triangular, and by the lack of dorsal struts on the basal piece of the tegmen.
Lectotype. Male, genitalia dissected and mounted in DMHF on card with specimen, with label data “Alluaud [handwritten] // Diego Suarez [handwritten] // MUSEUM PARIS \ COLL. GÉNÉRALE // HOLOTYPE [red label] // Nesiotus \ olibroides \ Guilb. [handwritten] // LECTOTYPE \ Nesiotus \ olibroides Guillebeau \ des. M.L. Gimmel 2009 [red label]” deposited in MNHN . Paralectotype possibly in The Natural History Museum, London (BMNH).
