Remarks. – This species was described by Duponchel & Chevrolat (1842) from Mexico in the genus Aplectrus Duponchel & Chevrolat, 1842 . The species is known from the United States of America (Texas), Mexico ( Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, and Tamaulipas), Guatemala, and Honduras ( Monné, 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte, 2024).
Material examined. – BELIZE ( new country record), Orange Walk District: 1 specimen, 20 km SE of San Felipe, Lamani , 23 July, 2003, D. T. Wyatt, collector, ( LGBC) .
