This subgenus includes four species, all from western North America ( Bickley and MacLeod 1956; Adams and Garland 1981; Brooks and Barnard 1990). Larvae are trash-carriers ( Monserrat et al. 2001). Adults are pollen-feeders ( Adams and Garland 1981; Brooks and Barnard 1990). One species ranges into Canada, as follows:
