1. The family-group name EUCHROMIINAE ( Lepidoptera , EREBIDAE Leach, 1815 ) was established by Butler (1876: 361)
based on the genus Euchromia Hübner, 1819 (in Hübner, 1816: 121).
The name was subsequently used as EUCHROMIINI, a tribe in the ARCTIIDAE (e.g. Fibiger & Lafontaine, 2005; Cerda, 2008; Vives Moreno, 2019) and, following the transfer of ARCTIIDAE to EREBIDAE , as a subfamily (e.g. Zahiri et al., 2011).
It is now used as the subtribe EUCHROMIINA
of the tribe ARCTIINI ( Lafontaine & Schmidt, 2010) .
