Philanthus venustus View in CoL is widely distributed in the Palaearctic region, where it is also recorded from Egypt ( Sinai) and Israel. The record from Djibouti is not mentioned in DE DALLA TORRE (1897: 493) and BOHART & MENKE (1976: 567).
