Material 1 specimen SMF PO 101.278 , Dar bel Hamri, Zanclean .

Discussion Te only available specimen is relatively well preserved except for the eroded rostrum, and resembles well the extant specimens figured of S. hastatum by Lombarte et al. (2006). Today, S. hastatum is the only species of the genus known in the eastern Atlantic from Portugal to Angola ( Froese & Pauly, 2022).
