Zodarion guadianense Cardoso View in CoL , in Pekár et al. 2003: 394, figs 25, 33 (♀).

Type material examined. Holotype PORTUGAL: ♀, Ribeira de Limas (Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana), Serpa, 14.VIII.2000, P. Cardoso leg., MNHN-AR14330 .

Diagnosis: The female of Z. guadianense can be distinguished from other relatives in the styliferum group by its small, sub-quadrate epigynal plate that widens posteriorly ( Fig. 38F View FIGURE 38 ).

Description: For a detailed description of the female habitus, see Pekár et al. (2003). Epigyne ( Fig. 38F View FIGURE 38 ): Epigynal plate sub-quadrate, slightly widened posteriorly, anteriorly limited by a pair of touching chitinous margins. Copulatory openings and pits unclear.

Comments: We could not photograph the epigyne of Z. guadianense since it is damaged. Based on the female copulatory organ, this species was classified in the rubidum group ( Pekár et al. 2003). However, it shares remarkable similarities ( Fig. 38F View FIGURE 38 ) with members of the styliferum group, including Z. bosmansi ( Fig. 38D View FIGURE 38 ), Z. gregua ( Fig. 38E View FIGURE 38 ), and Z. segurense ( Fig. 38I View FIGURE 38 ). Therefore, we transfer Z. guadianense to the styliferum group.

Distribution: Portugal.
