Diagnosis: Male specimens of Z. costapratae can be distinguished from the closely related Z. costablancae by the shape of the embolar tip, which is almost straight (vs. obliquely bent; cf. Fig. 14H View FIGURE 14 and Fig. 14E View FIGURE 14 ). For females, refer to Z. costablancae .
Description: For a detailed description of the habitus and male palp, refer to Pekár et al. (2011). Epigyne ( Fig. 17D View FIGURE 17 ): Epigynal plate sub-trapezoidal, wider than long, anteriorly limited by an antero-median chitinous ridge and companied by a wedge-shaped structure. Sides of the epigynal plate slightly S-shaped. Epigyne with a short longitudinal septum, extended toward the epigynal plate, and companied by a pair of small copulatory openings on antero-lateral sides of the septum; these copulatory openings connected to a pair of lateral pits by a pair of small, connecting grooves.
Molecular data:
COI mitochondrial barcodes (Genbank accession): MT370087, MT370088 , PP373362.
Maximum intraspecific COI divergence (n=3): 2.3 %. Minimum interspecific divergence (to Z. machadoi ): 7.1%. Consensus COI distance to the closest species (to Z. styliferum ): 3.7%.
Distribution: Portugal.
