( Figs. 2A View FIGURE 2 , 5A–C View FIGURE 5 , 9A View FIGURE 9 , 13A, 13B View FIGURE 13 , 17 View FIGURE 17 )

Leucophenga jacobsoni Duda, 1926: 50 View in CoL ; Okada, 1976: 2; 1987: 93.

Diagnosis. This species differs from the other species of the genus Leucophenga in having the surstylus caudally curved and narrow ( Fig. 17A View FIGURE 17 ); aedeagus apically acute, laterally with two long, acute processes, each bearing a sensillum at tip ( Fig. 17D View FIGURE 17 ).

Description. Body small. Ocellar triangle dark brown, lacking seta above ocellar setae. Postocellar setae minute ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Frons yellow ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Orb 3 and Orb 2 parallel ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Pedicel yellow ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ); first flagellomere yellowish ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Clypeus entirely yellow. Palpus yellow ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Mesonotum mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 10–12 irregular rows ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Scutellum dark yellow, brownish laterally, yellow at tip ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Pleura, katepisternum, and mesopleuron mostly yellow ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ). Wing ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ): entirely hyaline; costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 7 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter entirely yellowish ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Abdominal tergites brown, 2nd tergite with yellow patches medially, laterally and posteriorly, 3rd tergite entirely yellowish, setigerous only on posterior margin, 4th tergite yellow anteriorly in males ( Fig. 9A View FIGURE 9 ). Male terminalia: Epandrium pubescent, with ca. 4 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 17A View FIGURE 17 ). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 17A View FIGURE 17 ). Surstylus pubescent, with only a few setae along distal margin ( Fig. 17A View FIGURE 17 ). Paramere small, rounded basally and apically, lacking sensillum ( Fig. 17C View FIGURE 17 ).
