Record associated with mangroves: Brunei Bay, Pulau Bedukang, Brunei Darussalam, among epiphytal algae from mangrove pneumatophores ( Pešić et al. 2013).

Records from other habitats: Smit (2003) described this species without providing information as to the exact microhabitat in Watering Cove, Burrup Peninsula, Western Australia.

Distribution: Western Australia, Brunei Darussalam.
