Material examined. SAUDI ARABIA: 1♂, Asir, Abha, Hay Al-Nusub , 3–30.v.2014, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( NMWC).
Distribution. This genus and species are first records from Saudi Arabia. Amauromyza (Amauromyz a) leonuri is known from Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary ( Papp & Černý 2016), and Ukraine ( Guglya 2021).
Host remarks. The known host-plants of Amauromyza leonuri are Lamium album L. ( Lamiaceae ) ( Papp & Černý 2016) and Leonuri L. ( Benavent-Corai et al. 2005), Betonica officinalis L. ( Lamiaceae ), Phlomoides tuberosa (L.), Moench ( Lamiaceae ) and Ballota nigra L. ( Lamiaceae ) ( Guglya 2021). There is only a single species of Amauromyza Hendel listed by Cogan (1980) from Africa and this is A. triseta Spencer, 1959 from which it can be separated by a combination of wing veins measurements.
