Material. Syntype, male, labels handwritten by Motschulsky: “Tette, Mozamb.”, “ Luciola exoleta Klug, Mozambic ” ( Kazantsev & Nikitsky 2008). Poorly preserved specimen, with just the upper integument and apex of the abdomen present ( Kazantsev & Nikitsky 2008). According to Motschulsky (1854d), we do not know which syntypes can be located in the Berlin Museum “M. B.” ( Kazantsev & Nikitsky 2008).
