Epiphanops persicus View in CoL : Pelletier, 2002: 132.

Type data: The lectotype of E. dohrni labelled « Erivan Christoph» is preserved in SMTD. According to Pelletier (2002), it is junior synonym of E. persicus .

Material examined: Transcaucasus , Armenia: “Armen. Geb. Leder, Reitter”, 1♂ ( ZIN) ; Erevan ( D. Maljushenco), 1♀ ( ZIN) ; ibid, on Centaurea squarrosa Willd. , 30.06.1934 ( M.E. Ter-Minassian), 13♂, 10♀ ( ZIN) ; ibid, 3.08.1935 ( M.E. Ter-Minassian), 1♂, 3♀ ( ZIN) ; Vagarshapat, Etchmiadzin , 19 km W of Erevan, 16.08.1935 ( M.E. Ter-Minassian, А.А. Richter), 4♂, 2♀ ( ZIN) .

Description. Male. Body length 6.4–7.2 mm, width 2.3–2.7 mm. The body vestiture is golden-green in color. The 3 rd –7 th funicular segments as long as wide, or 3 rd and 4 th slightly elongate, and the remaining 3 segments are as long as wide. The 2 nd segment of the middle and hind tarsi usually slightly transverse. Aedeagus laterally at base of lamella usually without tubercles and anteapical setae, its ventral side with ill-defined median carina.

Female. Body length 6.6–7.4 mm, width 2.7–3.1 mm.

Comparative diagnosis: The habitus of E. dohrni dohrni is similar to that of E. dohrni margaritae ssp. nov. and E. persicus , from which the nominotypical subspecies differs in the structure of aedeagus without tubercles and anteapical setae.

Biology: A long series of E. dohrni dohrni was collected by М.Е. Ter-Minassian near Erevan in Armenia from Centaurea squarrosa Willd.

Distribution. We attribute to E. dohrni dohrni only populations from near Erevan in Armenia.
