Remarks. Species of Australian origin arrived in Europe in the 20th century ( Vorst & Cuppen 2000). As a mold-feeding species, it can occasionally be found on mold-infested grains ( Vorst & Cuppen 2000). Cartodere (A.) nodifer was not reported from Romania in the latest monograph on Western Palaearctic Ladridiidae ( Rücker 2020). However, there are at least two recent records of the species, one from 2009 ( Merkl et al. 2011) and one after 2014 (Dorobăț et al. 2019); on both occasions, the species was found in natural habitats.
