Remarks. Mediterranean species expanding northward due to the ornamental usage of its host plants ( Razinger et al. 2013); currently categorized as neonative ( Ruzzier et al. 2023a). Prior to 2014, when it was recorded in large numbers in southern Romania, the only long-term records of this species were four specimens found in the mid-20th century ( Nitzu et al. 2016).
