Diagnosis. Length: 3.08–3.78 mm; width: 2.34–2.93 mm. Form elongate oval; dorsum moderately convex and glabrous. Head yellowish brown; pronotum yellowish brown with two black basal spots, lateral portions and anterior corners white-yellow; scutellar shield dark brown; ground colour of elytra reddish brown, with two large white-yellowish spots—one on anterior margin and one posteriorly situated below middle, and four smaller black spots, located as follows: spot 1 inside the first yellow macula on the humeral area, and three black spots inside the posterior yellow macula (one on anterior margin and two in a row below, together forming a ‘L’-shaped line) ( Fig. 13a View FIGURE 13 ). Underside yellowish brown, except elytral epipleuron yellow. Abdominal postcoxal lines complete ( Fig. 13b View FIGURE 13 ). Spermatheca ( Fig. 13c View FIGURE 13 ) as illustrated. See Wang et al. Material examined. India, Meghalaya state, Khasi reg., Shillong peak ( WGS 84 ), 4.-5.VI. 1996 , 1850 á 50m 25°32’8”N 91°52’5”E, 1 female ( JVC) GoogleMaps .

Distribution. India ( Meghalaya: Khasi Hills) ( new record), China, Vietnam.

Notes. Mader (1955a) described it from China and later gave an account of it under the tribe Coelopterini ( Mader 1955b) . It is a new addition to the Indian fauna of Coccinellidae .
