Diagnosis. Length: 2.42 mm; width: 1.83 mm. Form elongate oval, dorsum moderately convex and glabrous. Head, pronotum and scutellar shield reddish brown. Elytra dark reddish brown, with four pale yellowish spots with large, interconnected black halos, arranged in a 4-4 pattern (2-2 on each elytron), first set of four spots below anterior margin and arranged in a shallow downward arc, second set of four spots arranged in a shallow upward arc in the posterior one-third, above elytral apices ( Fig. 14a View FIGURE 14 ). Underside yellowish brown.Abdomen with five visible ventrites ( Fig. 14b View FIGURE 14 ), abdominal postcoxal lines complete.
Material examined. NE INDIA, Meghalaya state, W Garo Hills, NOKREK NP, 9- 17.5.1996, 1100m asl, GPS N25°29.6’ E90°19.5’ ( WGS 84 ), 1 male ( JVC) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. India ( Meghalaya: Garo Hills) ( new record), China ( Tibet).
Notes. Wang et al. (2011) stated the elytral spots are white, but the sole male specimen examined in this study has pale yellowish elytral spots. As mentioned by Wang et al. (2011), it is a distinctive species and has a superficial resemblance to Coccinellini in having a glabrous body and bright coloration.
