Remarks. This species was previously reported from Laos (Khammouane Province) by Bucsek (2020). Here, we report it from the XiengKhouang and Bolikhamsai provinces for the first time. M. parallelina was first described by Hampson (1894) based on a single female, who highlighted the indistinct postmedial straight line on the forewing. Hampson (1900) was the first to illustrate the female adult. Later, Černy & Pinratana (2009) reported the species from Thailand with a male that lacked the postmedial straight line. Bucsek (2020) illustrated both sexes from Laos, noting that they exhibited a distinct postmedial straight line. In this study, we examined the male and female genitalia of both types of specimens and found no significant differences. Additional research is necessary to clarify these morphological variations.
