Type material. Holotype: male, Armenia, Areni , Novarank road, 39°41.8978’N 45°12.6143’E, 1230 m, 26–27.v.2022, leg. Duda & Saldaitis; slide Prozorov 2022 0478 ( WIGJ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 11 males, the same data as holotype; slides Prozorov 2022 0476 & 2022 0477 ( ASV, GMF-B & WIGJ) GoogleMaps ; 2 males, Armenia, Areni , h- 1240m, Noravank road, 39°737158’N, 45°5881682’E, 8−12. v.2024, Floriani & Saldaitis leg. ( ASV) ; 1 male, Armenia, Noravank monastery road, 3.06.2022, leg. X. Dobrzański ( XDW) .

Male. Forewing length of the holotype is 15.5 mm, paratypes – 15–16 mm. Antenna bipectinate, rami short, about 1.5 times longer than flagellomere. Thorax speckled light-straw and brown. Abdomen light-straw or greyish straw. Forewing light-straw with brown speckles; speckles well pronounced along costa, but lack in discal field; brown spots situated near base of R3–M1 and M3–CuA1 cells; cell M1– M3 has light triangular stroke; speckles become sparser towards outer margin of the wing; cilia brown on veins and light-straw in-between. Hindwing light-straw basally, gets gradually darker towards outer margin; cilia brown on veins and light-straw in-between.

Male genitalia. Uncus semioval, gradually narrows and gets more sclerotized towards apex; apex rather pointed. Arms of gnathos thick and short; gnathos weakly sclerotized with low structure. Valva relatively narrow with almost smooth ventral margin, narrows towards apex, apex rounded and membranous, costal margin of valva has well pronounced rounded indented ridge between sclerotized and membranous areas; transtilla somewhat triangle with pointed and slightly bent upwards apex. Juxta of “sella turcica” shape with short upward lateral processes. Saccus large, half-round. Phallus slender, S-shaped, a little shorter than valva, slightly narrowing towards apex; opening of vesica lays dorsoapically, about one third the length of phallus, bears no cornuti.
