World distribution. Chile.

Chilean distribution. From Atacama to Coquimbo region ( Fig. 110 View FIGURE 110 ).

Altitudinal range. This species inhabits inland valley ecosystems ( 380– 500 m.a.s.l.).

Biology. Tropidia flavimana is associated with shrubland of the Atacama Desert. This species has been observed visiting ‘huingán’ ( Schinus polygama ) (Cav.) Cabrera (R. Barahona-Segovia pers. obs.). Other aspects of its biology and ecology remain unknown in Chile.

Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 20 km 2 and five localities (or subpopulations); EOO = 22,153 km 2.
