Remarks. A single head valve from the upper Oligocene (Chattian) of Ruisseau de l’église ( France) ( Fig. 154S View FIGURE 154 ) was tentatively attributed to Acanthochitona crinita ( Pennant, 1777) by Dell’Angelo et al. (2020b), but although its co-specificity with the time-distant extant taxon is unlikely.
