Leptochiton spp. from the Paratethys
Five species of Leptochiton are reported from the Paratethys: L. srameki ( Šulc, 1934) , L. boettgeri ( Šulc, 1934) , L. sulci ( Bałuk, 1971) , L. rumani sp. nov. and L. cancellatus ( Sowerby, 1840) . The latter has been discussed with the Leptochiton species of the Mediterranean area (see above), and we consider L. srameki as a junior synonym of L. boettgeri . The main morphological characters of these species are reported in Tabs 2 and 5.
