Description. Female. Body length 5.7–6.5 mm. Length of fore wing 4.8–5.1 mm.
Head. Flagellum slender and bristle-shaped, with 34–35 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 5.7–5.9× as long as wide and 1.6× as long as 2 nd segment, all flagellomeres much longer than wide. Head dorsally 1.8–1.9× as wide as long. Temple short, strongly and almost linearly narrowed behind eye. OED 0.7–0.8× and OOD 0.6–0.8× ocellar diameter. Temple and frons granulate. Face finely and transversely rugose-punctate. Clypeus convex, with microsculpture and sparse punctures. Mandible slender, ventral mandibular tooth slightly smaller than dorsal tooth, slightly bent inwards. MI 1.2. Maxillary palp very long, its tip reaching epicnemial carina ventrally. Genal carina reaching hypostomal carina far from mandibular base, both carinae low.
Mesosoma . Notaulus shortly impressed at frontal margin of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum finely rugose-punctulate, dull. Mesopleuron and metapleuron mainly striate; speculum smooth; sternaulus distinctly impressed in frontal 0.5–0.7 of mesopleuron. Juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum moderately and roundly elevated, about as long as wide, densely punctate and with complete lateral carina. Propodeum rugose, with distinct carinae and tooth-like apophysis (about as long as basally wide); spiracle c 2.0× as long as wide. Area superomedia pentagonal, slightly wider than long; costula reaching its middle. Hind coxa finely rugose-punctate, without scopa. Hind femur finely punctulate, 4.4–4.9× as long as wide. External surface of hind tibia with 4–6 denticular spines. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between vein 2rs-m and 3rs-m 5.0–6.0× their width; vein 2m-cu reaching its middle. Vein 1cu-a interstitial. Nervellus of hind wing reclivous, intercepted in apical 0.75.
Metasoma. Amblypygous. Petiole slender, as high as wide. Postpetiole slightly widened, finely granulate, without latero-median carina, median field not separated. Gastrocoelus and thyridium obsolete. 2 nd tergite about as long as wide, longitudinally rugose-punctulate basally and densely punctulate apically. 3 rd tergite with fine dense punctures. Ovipositor sheath reaching beyond metasomal apex by length of 7 th tergite.
Color . Black. Scape and pedicel reddish; flagellomeres 8–12 ivory dorsally. Clypeus reddish-brown. Palps, mandible except teeth and spot of frontal orbit ivory. Scutellum and tegula reddish. Metasoma brownish, 1 st and 2 nd tergites usually with narrow yellowish apical margins; 6 th and 7 th tergites mainly ivory. Legs reddish-brown; fore and mid coxae ± ivory, hind coxa slightly ivory basally; hind femur brown, reddish basally; hind tibia reddish, infuscate in apical 2/3; hind tarsus black, 2 nd to 4 th hind tarsomeres often with ivory stripes. Wings almost hyaline, pterostigma ochreous.
Male. Body length 5.4–6.2 mm. Length of fore wing 5.0– 5.6 mm.
Structure. Flagellum with 31–34 flagellomeres, slender and bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomere 5.8× as long as wide. Tyloids not visible. Face with fine sparse punctures. Clypeus with sparse punctures. MI 0.7–0.9. Mesopleuron with superficial punctures dorsally, striate ventrally. Metapleuron densely punctate. Hind femur 4.4–4.5× as long as wide. 2 nd tergite about as long as wide. Hypopygium unmodified; apical margin slightly rounded. Structure otherwise as described for the ♀.
Color . Black. Scape and pedicel ochreous ventrally; flagellomeres 12/13–15 ivory dorsally. Palps, mandible except teeth, clypeus, facial orbit, spot of frontal orbit, collar or frontal margin and hind edge of pronotum, subtegular ridge, often apical band of 6 th tergite, dorsal spot of 7 th tergite, hypopygium and paramere ivory. Fore and mid coxae and all trochanters ivory; fore and mid legs otherwise reddish; hind coxa brown or black, ± yellow basally; hind femur brown or black, diffusely reddish basally; hind tibia blackish, with subbasal red stripe; hind tarsus black, metatarsus apically and 2 nd to 4 th hind tarsomeres entirely ivory. Pterostigma brown.
Remarks. We do not formally describe this new species here since it will be included in the planned revision of Japanese Heinrichellus by N. Kikuchi in the near future.
