Description. Male. Body length 7.7–9.8 mm.
Head. Flagellum slender and bristle-shaped, with 34–35 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 4.3× as long as wide, all flagellomers much longer than wide. Tyloids absent. Temple rather long, strongly and almost linearly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.0× ocellar diameter. Frons almost smooth, shining. Face and clypeus densely punctate, shining. Clypeus distinctly convex. Ventral mandibular tooth slightly smaller than dorsal tooth and distinctly bent inwards (by 80°). MI 0.8. 2 nd maxillary palpomere moderately widened (about 2.0× as long as wide). Genal carina reaching hypostomal carina far from mandibular base, both carinae low.
Mesosoma . Notaulus impressed at frontal margin of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum densely punctate, shining. Mesopleuron and metapleuron densely rugose-punctate; speculum punctate; juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum moderately and roundly elevated, slightly wider than long, with dense punctures and complete lateral carina. Propodeum coarsely rugose, with strong carinae. Posterolateral edge of area dentipara with blunt tooth-like apophysis; spiracle slit-shaped. Area superomedia hexagonal, 1.3× as wide as long. Costula weakly present. Area petiolaris with transverse rugae. Hind coxa densely punctate. Hind femur superficially punctulate, 3.9–4.0× as long as wide. External surface of hind tibia without denticular spines. Hind metatarsus slightly curved. Areolet pointed frontally; vein 2m-cu reaching slightly proximal to its middle. Vein 1cu-a interstitial.
Metasoma. Petiole slightly wider than high. Postpetiole moderately widened, with latero-median carina basally, median field slightly elevated and coarsely rugose. 2 nd tergite 1.1–1.2× as wide as long. Gastrocoelus strongly impressed, with coarse ridges. Thyridium slightly oblique, 0.8–0.9× as wide as interval between thyridia. 2 nd and 3 rd tergite densely rugose-punctate, dull. Following tergites finely punctate, ± shining.
Color . Black. Flagellum black, flagellomeres 11/12–15/16 ivory dorsally. Palps, mandible except teeth, labrum, clypeus, face, gena, scape ventrally, and frontal orbit up to lateral ocellus, frontal margin and hind edge of pronotum, subtegular ridge, upper division of metapleuron, apical 2/3 of scutellum, postscutellum and area posteroexterna of propodeum ivory. Tergites black, 2 nd to 7 th tergites with apical ivory margins (wider in apical tergites). Fore and mid coxae and all trochanters ivory; hind coxa black; fore and mid legs otherwise reddish; hind femur black, reddish in basal 0.1–0.2; hind tibia black, with subbasal ivory band; hind tarsomeres ivory with black tips, 5 th hind tarsomere mainly black. Wings almost hyaline, pterostigma black.
Remarks. We do not formally describe this new species here since it will be described together with the related female in a revision of Cratolabus by N. Kikuchi in the near future.
