Description. Female. Body length 9.5 mm.

Structure. Flagellum with 29 flagellomeres, filiform; 1 st flagellomere 1.8× as long as wide, 12 th flagellomere square, widest flagellomeres about square. Temple slightly widened behind eye and moderately narrowed apically. OED 1.5× ocellar diameter. MI 0.4. Hypostomal carina lamelliform and almost dentiform ventrally. Area basalis with median tubercle. Area superomedia hexagonal, about as long as wide; costula reaching its middle. Hind coxa densely punctate, with large spine postero-ventrally (c 2.0× as long as basal width). Hind femur densely punctate, stout, 2.6× as long as wide. Postpetiole without latero-median carina, almost smooth and shining, with very sparse punctures. Thyridium large, transverse, 2.2× as wide as interval between thyridia. 2 nd tergite 1.2× as wide as long. 2 nd and 3 rd tergite densely punctate, shining.

Color . Black. Flagellomeres 9–12 ivory. 2 nd tergite with narrow red apical margin; 7 th tergite with ivory apical margin. Legs black; fore tibia and tarsus ± reddish frontally. Wings slightly infuscate; pterostigma blackish-brown.

Male. Body length 8.5 mm.

Structure. Flagellum with 31 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomere 1.8× as long as wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 11–17, oval, maximally 0.4× as long as their flagellomeres. OED 1.7× ocellar diameter. MI 0.4. Hypostomal carina lamelliform widened. Hind coxa densely punctate, without tooth-like extension or other modifications. Hind femur 3.5× as long as wide. 2 nd tergite as long as wide. Thyridium 1.8× as wide as interval between thyridia.

Color . Black. Flagellum black, reddish ventrally. Palps ivory. Clypeus, face and ventral scape reddish-yellow. Collar and hind edge of pronotum, tegula and spot of subtegular ridge yellow. Fore and mid coxae, all trochanters and hind coxa apically ivory; legs otherwise black. Pterostigma brown.

Distribution. Japan ( Hokkaido, Honshu and Yakushima Isl.). A transpalaearctic species. New record for the Ryukyu Archipelago.
