Chine, province Fujian (Mont Longqi).
Ainsi, le genre Prionobelum compte actuellement sept espèces, peut-être huit s’il s’avère que P. d. nitidum est une espèce distincte de P. durum . Trois vivent à Haïnan, deux en Chine continentale (Fujian), et deux ou trois au Vietnam.
