Remarks. The genus level taxa Arielia Shasky, 1961 ( type species Arielia mitriformis Shasky, 1961 by original designation) and Vexiariella Shuto, 1983 ( Arielia cancellata Shuto, 1983 by original designation), sometimes included in the synonymy of Mitromorpha (e.g. in WoRMS: Bouchet, 2014) are, more convincingly regarded as a distinct genus ( Arielia ) by Bouchet et al. (2011: 281) with Vexiariella as a subgenus.
