Distribution. Ezishnola cretacea has confirmed records from Ghana (lectotype), Guinea and Liberia.
Taxonomic note. A series of dissections conducted on Ezishnola specimens revealed that the configuration of the signum bursae in the female genitalia is a crucial diagnostic feature, prompting the author of this paper to dissect one of the syntypes of E. cretacea . The dissection of this type specimen, which is designated as the lectotype of E. cretacea in this paper, showed that it possesses no signa bursae, suggesting a close affinity with E. inopinata László, 2020 . Consequently, the female genitalia figures identified as E. cretacea in László (2020) are incorrectly attributed; in fact, they belong to E. xantholeuca comb. n. As the author at that time considered E. cretacea a morphologically variable species confined to West Africa, the examined material listed as E. cretacea by László (2020) contains several different taxa, including E. carcassoni László, 2020 , E. truncata sp. n., E. magnisignata sp. n. and E. xantholeuca . The adult figures in László (2020) illustrate E. xantholeuca ( Figs 4, 5, 6, 7 View Figures 1–15 ) and E. carcassoni ( Fig. 8 View Figures 1–15 ). Regarding the male genitalia illustrations, Fig. 19 View Figures 16–30 depicts E. carcassoni , Fig. 20 View Figures 16–30 illustrates E. xantholeuca , while the remaining figures are correctly identified.
