Current name: Gossypium herbaceum L. View in CoL ( Malvaceae ).
Note: Watt ( Wild Cult. Cotton Pl. World: 157, pl. 24. 1907) discussed both 874.1 (LINN) and the Clifford material as “types”. However, these collections are not part of a single gathering, so Art. 9.15 does not apply, and he did not make a choice of type.
