Material examined. INFUECO stations: BC17 0611, 2 specimens, 833 m depth. INCOECO stations: BC12 0611, 1 specimen, 998 m depth.
Habitat. In sandy and muddy sediments, between 306 to 1100 m depth ( San Martín et al. 1996; San Martín 2003).
Distribution. Cantabrian Sea, Bay of Biscay (Capbreton Canyon), Aegean Sea ( San Martín 2003), Amanay Bank, to the south of Fuerteventura and Conception Bank to the north of Lanzarote ( Canary Islands). The species is recorded for the first time in the Canary Islands.
