Description ( Fig. 1)
Body. – Body measurements TL 1.7 mm, EW 0.9 mm; oblong-oval, weakly convex dorsally, weakly glossy; dark brown, covered with yellow, short, recumbent setation; elytra brown with yellowish-orange patterns of yellow setation.
Head. – Light brown and dark brown (dark posterior part), with dense and coarse punctures; covered by yellow, recumbent setation; labrum brown; eyes prominent laterally in dorsal view, coarsely faceted and slightly emarginate near antennal insertions; antennae with 11 antennomeres, light brown ( Fig. 2); palpi light brown, apical maxillary palpomere large, cylindrical.
Pronotum. – Pronotum dark brown with yellowish-orange latero-apical parts covered by yellow, short, recumbent setation, convex dorsally, rugose, with large and dense punctures, other parts covered with yellow recumbent setation; widest at middle, gradually narrowed anteriad and posteriad; anterior margin slightly arcuate; lateral sides roundly arcuate; basal margin sinuate, without short and circular grooves on subbasal parts.
Scutellum . – Scutellum brown, with short recumbent yellow setation.
Elytra . – Elytra dark brown with yellowish-orange patterns, covered by yellow recumbent setation, patterns covered by yellow setation, oblong ( Fig. 1). Epipleuron brown, covered with yellow recumbent setation.
Legs. – Legs entirely light brown with light brown spines, covered with brown recumbent setation. Tibiae with long brown spines apically.

Ventral surface. – Meta-meso ventrite brown, with yellow recumbent setation, finely punctate. Visible abdominal ventrites brown, finely punctate, covered with yellow recumbent setation. Pygidium brown, covered with short, yellow recumbent setation.
Male. – Unknown.
Etymology. – Dedicated to the mother of one of the two authors (Alain Coache), Annette Coache.
Differential diagnosis. – The new species is similar to Litargus (Litargus) raffrayi Grouvelle, 1914 ( South Africa) and L. (L.) crassus Grouvelle, 1914 ( Cameroon) but differs from them by the shape of the elytral pattern and structure of the antennae; from Litargus (Alitargus) balteatus LeConte, 1856 , it differs by the structure of the antennae (short terminal antennomere) and presence of apical elytral spot.

Head. – Head brown, with dense and coarse punctures; covered by yellow, short, recumbent setation; labrum brown; eyes prominent laterally in dorsal view, coarsely faceted and slightly emarginate near antennal insertions; antennae with 11 antennomeres, light brown ( Fig. 4); palpi light brown, apical maxillary palpomere large, cylindrical.
