Note: Renvoize & Clayton (in Taxon 29: 339-340. 1980) proposed the name for rejection as a nomen confusum. However, the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 32: 281. 1983) declined to support rejection, and the name is therefore in use in the sense of the typification made by Guédès. De Koning & Sosef (in Blumea 30: 296. 1985) provide a summary.
