Xylaplothrips flavitibia Ananthakrishnan & Jagadish, 1967: 128–129 View in CoL .
This species was described from India based on three females and four males taken from ‘wild galls’, but it is not available in this study. However, according to the original description and Pitkin (1976), it is somewhat similar to M. inquilinus View in CoL , but it is peculiar in having all tibiae wholly yellow .
