Notes: The species has been recorded in moist mountain habitats, mostly open. It is often found on Sphagnum peatlands or visiting the flowers of tall herbaceous vegeta- tion near bodies of water or streams. It has been observed visiting the flowers of Knautia drymeia Heuff. , Succisa pratensis Moench , Pastinaca sativa L., and unidentified species of the Apiaceae family.
