Notes

Isogenoides frontalis is commonly referred to as the Hudsonian Springfly ( Stark et al. 2012). This species is very broadly distributed in Canada from Newfoundland-Labrador and the Atlantic Maritime Provinces west to Saskatchewan and parallel in the USA from Maine west to Minnesota ( Kondratieff 2004, Sandberg and Stewart 2005, DeWalt et al. 2024). Hilsenhoff and Billmyer (1973) reported I. frontalis from small, high gradient streams in Wisconsin streams and suggested a univoltine life cycle. The limited, scattered reports of adults of this species in New York are available from mid- to late June (Fig. 38 View Figure 38 ) at elevations ranging from 115-231 m asl (Fig. 39 View Figure 39 ) from Level IV Ecoregions Eastern Adirondack Foothills (58 ac), Ontario Lowlands (83 c), and Mohawk Valley (83 f) (Fig. 40 e View Figure 40 e ).
