Lectotype (Reveal & al. in Huntia 7: 215. 1987): Kalm, Herb. Linn. No. 38.1 ( LINN) .

Current name: Cunila origanoides (L.) Britton View in CoL ( Lamiaceae ).

Note: Although Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 7. 1929) noted a Kalm sheet in LINN, and Clayton material as a standard specimen, this is not equivalent to a type statement (see Jarvis & al. in Taxon 50: 508. 2001).
