Shoots suberect, forming small, lax but rather hard cushions. Leaves dark green, coriaceous, covered (as are pedicels and calyx) with very short glandular hairs, so as to appear almost verruculose under a lens; scented, but not as strongly as in 49. Lamina 5-10 mm wide, divided into 3-5 linear-oblong, obtuse, sulcate segments. Flowering stems 4- 10 cm, bearing 3-12 flowers. Petals 4-5 mm, obovate, white. 2« =34. Exposed siliceous rocks. • C.
