Leafy shoots usually decumbent, rarely suberect, forming a loose cushion or mat. Leaves c. 8 x 3 mm, lanceolate-spathulate, often apiculate, usually glandular-hairy, tapered to a broad petiole. Flowering stems 2- 4 cm, few-flowered. Petals 2-3 mm, narrower than the sepals and about as long, dull yellow. Snow-patches and shady screes; calcicole. • E. Alps; Appennini; mountains of Jugoslavia and Albania. Al Au Ge It Ju.
