Annual to perennial herbs with unbranched hairs. Sepals erecto- patent; petals yellow, with a short claw. Fruit a transversely articulate silicula; the lower segment cylindrical, with 1 -3 seeds, or seedless; the upper segment ovoid to globose, wider than the lower, indéhiscent, caducous at maturity, with a single erect seed; beak conical or filiform.
