Like 8 in habit but less robust; flowering stems 15-30 cm. Leaves terete, linear-cylindrical, acuminate, distinctly spurred, suberect, loosely imbricate on the non-flowering shoots. Inflorescence erect in bud, corymbose, with branches scarcely recurved. Flowers 5- to 8-merous, subsessile. Sepals 5-7 mm, triangular-lanceolate, acuminate, glandular-puberulent. Petals 7-10 mm.
